My car key was deprogrammed!

This is one of the phrases that we hear the most in 24-hour Barajas locksmiths in Guadalajara and Zapopan. But we are very sorry that it is a wrong expression, why do we say this?

Well, to disprove all inexperienced mechanics and electric cars, automotive keys are never deprogrammed. What can happen to them on some occasions is a blockage in the immobilizer module, which caused it to be deprogrammed with the wrong voltage, or simply that they caused a program to the key because they dropped it abruptly to the floor or into the water; Remember that the chips that contain the keys are electronic devices that will never be deprogrammed by magic.

Let me tell you. Last Saturday we received a call around 11:00 pm, so that we could program a key for a Golf 2002, the owner commented to us, that checking his xenon lights he lowered his battery and then he could no longer start it, he tried to push it And neither, later he went to look for an electric car to change the battery and it didn't start either and the key light began to flash. It was when the electric car told him that the key was deprogrammed. As we already told you, the keys are not deprogrammed by magic, what happened is that when I was trying to start the car several times with the dead battery (no charge) in the module, it was blocked and even the battery was not switched on.

So we had to come up with our scanner and clear the error codes so it could boot. The cases are very different depending on the brands of the cars, that is why this failure cannot be taken as a rule, but if you have a Golf you already know that if the battery is low it is best, before trying to turn it on, it is better to change or recharge your battery.

That is why when something similar happens to you, do not hesitate to call us and at Cerrajeria Barajas 24 hours in Guadalajara and Zapopan we can help you.
